HOW WE DO

STEP BY STEP

1. We gets an idea. Usually inspired by the available action figures on Archie McPhee’s glorious website.
2. We develops the idea. How does Einstein get from where he is to where he needs to be? Logic isn’t really a key part of answering this question. Generally anything will do. Then we throw in some “That’s what she said” jokes, some cricket noises, something offensive to people who identify with the characters if their historical celebrities, and at that point, the script is about done.
3. I shoot the action figures against a make-shift green screen:
   
   I generally do this about one thousand to two thousand times for any given episode. It’s great because each frame is something exciting and new and completely different than the frame that came before it and it is really instantly gratifying.
4. I uploads all the pictures to the computer, sends ‘em to Quicktime and export as Image Sequence. Then it’s to Final Cut Pro!
5. Then I chip and chup and chop the footage, putting in backgrounds and adding Einstein’s voice from top-secret website (I shouldn’t have linked… you’ll put me out of business and I won’t make any more money! Oh… wait.)
6. I puts it on the web world for you all to enjoy.
7. ?
8. Profit.
